It is a hexagonal profile with a groove for fitting the key onto the pipeline. The profile of the split key is more massive and taller compared to a box-end wrench, which increases the contact area and reduces the risk of fastening deformation. The working profile of the split key is offset by 15º relative to the longitudinal axis, providing greater flexibility when working in limited spaces. The keys are made of chrome-vanadium steel. Nickel plating with a protective lacquer layer provides additional corrosion resistance.
