The sockets are hardened and protected from corrosion by chrome-plating. They can withstand high and prolonged loads. The hexagonal profile is the best choice for applying loads to classic hexagonal fasteners. The extended shape of the socket allows for working with fasteners on relatively high studs or with deep-seated threaded components. The special ribbed pattern on the base of the socket improves grip characteristics and prevents slipping in hands.
